The country has a special charm to English people. We have been closely associated with Brittany for centuries since William was the last person to conquer England. Today a lot of the language is still common. Before him there was King Arthur, his name lives very strong in Paimpont. Here legends abound and there is even a shop called Merlin’s which is a fantastic experience. . Never more strongly linked than is the bond between Brittany and Cornwall. We, like Wales, share more language and traditions with Brittany than any other areas. The countryside in both Brittany and the Pyrenees is clean, pollution free and enjoys the quiet French way of life. Yet nearby in Brittany is the hubbub of busy yachting towns like Vannes, Treguer, St Briuec and Lorient. Feel free to browse the pages and photos and share with us the experience of the less frantic pace of a holiday atmosphere. |

The map shows just how sunny this area is. In August 2004 a temperature of 40oc was recorded by the overland pool. A valid reason for anybody to jump right in. This place can be what you want. It is far enough away from other people to seem remote and very peaceful. Yet it is close enough to be near lots of amenities within 10 minutes. Walking around lakes, in woods, along moors or coasts. All of these are close by and being centrally located no coast is more than one hour’s drive away. |
